DevOps Engineer Initially focused on providing managed service offerings for internal customers (for example, hosting demo environments for the sales team and CICD infrastructure for the development team), the role will expand to provide the technical launch of our Quantios SaaS offering, based on the Business Central Online platform.
Job Descriptions:
- Implementation and operation of cloud environments (Azure) for hosting Quantios products including production, sandbox environments (non-production), and internal use.
- Implementing continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Writing and maintaining infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or Azure Resource Manager to automate the provisioning of resources
- Play a supporting role in the launch and ongoing delivery of our brand-new SaaS offering, through close collaboration with Quantios strategy & innovation, development and product management teams
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including developers, technical team, support, and other stakeholders
- Creation of appropriate health monitoring and alerting for managed services
- Maintenance of and adherence to ITIL practices for hosted services together with active engagement in an ISMS program
- Manage established processes within the team, create process documentation and recommend and implement opportunities for process improvement.
- Automating deployment processes to ensure quick and reliable application and infrastructure provisioning
- Optimizing cloud infrastructure to achieve cost-effectiveness and performance improvements
- Secure system by establishing and enforcing policies; defining, monitoring access, server hardening
- Documenting cloud architecture, configurations, and procedures for reference and knowledge sharing
- Assisting in deployment during off-hours including weekends.
Job Requirements:
- 2-3 years’ experience in a DevOps environment delivering SaaS offerings
- Experience with commercial software, ideally in a secure environment or highly-regulated business domain
- Experience with containerization and orchestration of web services.
- Familiarity with n-tier architecture concepts including RESTful API services
- Familiarity with CI/CD tooling
- Familiarity with MSSQL, AngularJS, HTML
- Awareness of cloud-based hosting options (Azure, AWS)
- Hands on experience in the operational delivery of commercial SaaS offerings
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks
- Experience of ISO27001, including associated management systems
Travel to offices and client sites in the UK and overseas may be required.
